Happy Fourth of July! This holiday is always a special time of year for our family. Most importantly to celebrate the independence of our country and all those who protect and serve our country. We also celebrate two birthdays that surround the fourth. Happy birthday Braden and Dad! This year we went to a Fourth of July parade in Summerlin on Braden's birthday, July 3rd. It had old cars, motorcycles, bands, flags, and floats! The kids had a good time trying to figure out what was going on!
That night we lit Sparklers for the kids and stepped on popper firecrackers. What an adventure! A couple of minor burns later it was time to go bed!
On the Fourth of July, Braden had to work. So the kids and I went to our friend's house for dinner and fireworks! Thanks Neally and Russell for having us...it was a blast!
We drove back to our house and watched the beautiful fireworks across the valley. We love living in the northwest part of town, so we can see all the way down to the city. We also had a spectacular fireworks show right in our backyard, thanks to the neighborhood behind us. They must all pitch in to buy this display and they explode directly over our backyard. It is perfect!
