Camping

Pine Creek 2012
We decided that the kids were finally old enough to go camping, so we packed up my car with water, food, tents, and all other camping necessities and headed north to Tonopah, NV to Pine Creek.  We left after school on Friday and were planning on arriving before dark.  However, we arrived past dark and were unable to find the camp site.  We drove to our exit that said "No gas for 179 miles" and then we saw a gravel road with no light other than the moon.  After driving around for an hour on the gravel road and trying to find the campsite, we decided it was better for us to find a hotel and try again in the morning!  The kids were disappointed, but we were able to get up in the morning and drive out to Pine Creek in the morning for breakfast.  What an amazing place!  Tall trees+a creek with running water+not many people=a great camping experience!  The kids had so much fun exploring the area and playing in the creek.  Bryce has not stopped talking about going back to Pine Creek.  This will be a place we continue to camp at for years to come!
