Brothers and Sisters

 

Friday night sleep over has become a tradition in our household.  Every Friday night Ava and Bryce sleep in the same room together.  After all the talking, singing, and laughing is finished, they fall asleep in the same twin bed. Sometimes snuggled up close and sometimes crazily spread out like they are playing in their sleep.
The other night Ava was planning to have a sleep over at her friend's house on Friday night.  When Bryce realized that he was not going to have his usual sleepover with his sister, he started to cry.  He needed to have his big sister. Braden and I tried to console him, but he just wanted Ava.
This whole event made me realize that even though they drive each other crazy most of the time, that this is just part of being brother and sister and it doesn't really take away or change the love that they have for each other.  In fact, it might just make them closer.  As the years go on, my wish for them is that they may stick together and be the best of friends, as brother and  sister can be.
